Introduction
Injuries to people in their homes are by far the highest cause of admissions to Grimsby Hospital’s A&E Department, many of whom may be deemed vulnerable. There is a vast range of agencies throughout North East Lincolnshire that continually visit homes to assess for hazards attributed to their respective field of work. The Hazard House programme aims to provide realistic training to the staff of these agencies for them to identify a multitude of hazards based on areas such as hygiene, fire, welfare, electrical and child protection, and to be able to quickly refer them to the relevant agency.
Hazard Home Signposting Element
A part of the Hazard House programme is to increase multi agency referrals to reduce the risk to people in their own homes. The signposting webpage has been designed to act as a single point of contact that is quick and simple to complete, whilst obtaining the minimum essential information required by each participating agency.
